Los Angeles’ acclaimed avant-garde metal band Melted Bodies recently announced plans to release their second of EP, “The Inevitable Fork Vol. 2”, on June 30th, and today have revealed the record’s second single, “State of Mind”, a mind-altering, industrialized track that ventures into new darkwave territories.
Commenting on the song, the band says:
“A fever dream state of mind trapped inside a black liquid half dome and floating aimlessly in an ocean of yellow white long hairs. This song is a combination of visuals and mind hallucinations I’ve experienced while deep in thought attempting to figure out where I was headed during a time of turbulent transition. We are all lost at certain times throughout our lives and somehow often unannounced the path we once saw in front of ourselves just simply disappears.”
“State Of Mind” was mixed by Uniform guitarist Ben Greenberg and mastered by Rob Dennler (Built To Spill) and is accompanied by a music video that can be viewed here:
