The Hungarian death metal band Monastery, hailing from Zalaegerszeg and founded in 1989, released their powerful new single “Pulled into Stake”. Having released the first official Hungarian death metal album “Far from Christ” in 1992, the band has cemented its place in the annals of metal history.
Following a 16-year hiatus, the reactivated lineup now features Róbert “Billy” Kovács on drums, Roland Kovács on vocals, Ferenc Tóth “Hufi” and Krisztián Tóth on guitars, and Szanati “Szana” Szabolcs on bass. The band has released five video clips over the past two years, showcasing their revitalized energy and passion for death metal.
“Pulled into Stake” is a preview of the band’s upcoming album “From Blood,” set for release in fall 2023. Directed and produced by Ákos Gelencsér of Purple Duck Studio, the music video for the new track offers a taste of the band’s forthcoming album.
