Progenitor unleash title track off “Eldritch Supremacy”

Black metal horde Progenitor are now streaming the title track off their upcoming debut album, “Eldritch Supremacy”.

The album’s second single pulls inspiration from the H.P. Lovecraft novella “The Shadow Over Innsmouth”. Vocalist/bassist Brian Sprouse comments:

“I have read that story multiple times, and each time, it has immersed me as much as the first. I always wanted to write a song about this story, but I wasn’t satisfied with the lyrics every time I tried. Then one day, I thought, instead of writing a song about the story itself, why not write from the perspective of the hybrid humans and deep ones of Innsmouth? From that thought came the song name ‘Eldritch Supremacy.'”

Eldritch Supremacy was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Chris Mannino. Artwork by Jasmine Howsmon.

Progenitor, an unrelenting force in the realm of black metal, emerged from the depths of darkness to unleash their sonic fury upon the world. Formed in 2008 in Tacoma, WA. Progenitor has risen as a formidable entity within the black metal scene.

Drawing inspiration from the ancient, occult, and primordial forces that shape the universe, Progenitor’s music serves as a vessel for dark and introspective exploration. Their sound is characterized by a relentless onslaught of atmospheric riffs, blistering tremolo-picked melodies, thunderous blast beats, and hauntingly rasped vocals. By seamlessly blending atmospheric elements with ferocious aggression, Progenitor creates an immersive and evocative auditory experience that transports listeners to otherworldly realms of despair and transcendence.
