Sabaton tell the story of “The Unkillable Soldier”

The line between bravery and madness is sometimes blurred: over the course of four wars in six decades, Adrian Carton De Wiart has proven himself to be the most invulnerable soldier of all time. The British Army officer of Belgian descent survived several plane crashes, lost an eye and a hand, sustained eleven devastating injuries, and still dedicated his life fully to his military career. Wherever there was a war, Adrian Carton De Wiart was there. “To be honest, I enjoyed the war,” said the man, who died peacefully in 1963 at the age of 83.

With their new single “The Unkillable Soldier” Sabaton pay tribute to this unique character of European war history – in the form of an epic anthem packed with fantastic hooklines, breathtaking guitar parts and a catchy melody that one or the other of you will whistle to yourself for a while will!

Bassist Pär Sundström about the new song:

“The story of Adrian Carton De Wiart also describes Sabaton in many ways, especially the fact that he never gave up despite numerous obstacles.
The life of this interesting character who ‘truly enjoyed the war’, really fascinated us.”

“The Unkillable Soldier” is another musical release from Sabaton’s tenth masterpiece, “The War To End All Wars” , which will be released on March 4th, 2022 via Nuclear Blast Records. With the already released singles “Christmas Truce” and “Soldier Of Heaven” , the band already gave a small preview of what the listener can expect: With their new album, Sabaton once again dive deep into the atrocities, miracles and events surrounding the First World War and take the listener on an exciting and emotional ride of eleven songs in total. “The Unkillable Soldier” follows the critically acclaimed “Christmas Truce””Soldier Of Heaven”.
