Sarkasm, the iconic Canadian death/thrash band formed in 1990, has returned with a vengeance. After releasing 4 demos and disbanding in 1994, the band reformed with its original lineup from their 1992 demo “Inner Flame” to create their highly-anticipated debut album, “As Empires Decay.” The album, which will be released worldwide through Xtreem Music, is a technical and fresh take on death/thrash reminiscent of early Gorguts, Obliveon, Death, Pestilence and Absorbed. The album even features guest vocals from Luc Lemay of Gorguts on select tracks. Mastering was done by the renowned Dan Swanö at Unisound Studios in Germany, ensuring top-notch sound quality. Don’t miss out on this ground-breaking release!
The band’s first two studio demos, originally released in ’91 and ’92, were re-issued on CD in 2012 in limited quantities and officially re-released in 2021 by Awakening Records. Additionally, Sarkasm’s 1992 demo “Inner Flame” was re-issued on 10″ vinyl and T-shirt bundle through Xtreem Music’s 10 Inches of DeathCult series.
