Death metal legends, Sorrow, have announced the release of their highly anticipated second album, “Death of Sorrow”. The album will be available on CD, 12″LP, Cassette & Digital formats on August 8th, 2023, through Xtreem Music.
Originally formed in 1988 under the name Apparition, Sorrow has a long and storied history within the Death Metal scene. After releasing two demos and a 7″EP under their original moniker, they evolved into Sorrow in 1991 and went on to release their EP “Forgotten Sunrise” and debut album “Hatred and Disgust” through Roadrunner Records.
In 2022, the original “Hatred and Disgust” lineup reformed to record six songs intended for their second album but left unrecorded due to the band’s breakup. Now, these lost treasures, alongside a re-recorded version of “Hidden Fear” from their “Human Fear” demo, will see the light of day in “Death of Sorrow”. Authentic to the era they were written, these songs promise the heavy, doom-infused, soul-crushing sound that Sorrow’s fans will love.
