Heretoir unveil the official video for "Anima"

Today German post black metal outfit Heretoir break their silence unveiling the new single ‘Anima’. The stunning track is taken from their upcoming mini-album “Wastelands” due on May 19th 2023 via AOP Records.

“’Anima’ deals with the urge to free yourself from the iron shackles society puts on us humans. Our true inner potential is kept suppressed by 24-7 pressure to perform and numbing consumerism. ‘Anima’ can be understood as a scream to ‘free your mind and live your life to the fullest’,” comment the band about the song.

Combining the emotional and atmospheric elements of black metal with progressive rhythm-laden modern metal structures and the beauty of post rock and shoegaze, Heretoir is a nostalgic, melancholic and soothing soundtrack in a mad world.
