Frankfurt, May 27th, 2025 – A piece of Eintracht Frankfurt history became part of a global music record: At the spectacular rock mega-event The Grand Jam in Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park Arena, 1,231 musicians came together to make music history – and Tankard were right in the middle of it.
As part of the official setlist of the world’s largest rock band, the legendary Eintracht anthem “Schwarz-weiß wie Schnee” was performed – a song that has been closely associated with the iconic Frankfurt band Tankard for many years. The high-energy stadium anthem was delivered in a powerful version by the record-breaking band, creating goosebump moments throughout the arena.
For this special occasion, vocalist Andreas “Gerre” Geremia re-recorded the vocals in December 2024 at the Art of June Studio in Frankfurt, giving the historic event the sound it deserved.
“Having our song included in such a historic global event makes us incredibly proud,” said the band. “A piece of football, Frankfurt, and metal on one stage with over 1,200 musicians – pure goosebumps.”
Tankard and Reaper Entertainment congratulate event organizer Patrick Meyer and the entire The Grand Jam team, the City of Frankfurt, and all participants on this successful world record – and are thrilled that “Schwarz-weiß wie Schnee” was once again celebrated as a unifying element between music, sports, and emotion.
