Legendary singer of Queensryche, Geoff Tate, is coming to Belgrade for the first time with a bang, in order to perform one of the best albums ever recorder – “Operation: Mindcrime” in it’s entirety with a few extra songs from Queensryche on the 11th of April in Zappa barka, thanks to Devotion Booking and Rockfire record shop.
Queensryche’s “Operation: Mindcrime” was released 37 years ago in 1988, selling milions of copies and winning accolades. The seminal concept album came from Geoff’s imaginative mind over the corse of a week, exploring themes of experimentation in mind control, revenge, life, suicide and death. The single I don’t believe in love was nominated for a Grammy, while Eyes of a stranger, Revolution Calling and the titular song became hits on their own, while the live recording of the album titled “Operation: Livecrime” is considered by many fans as one of the best live recordings of all time.
