For nearly three decades, the US/French Canadian melodic death metal powerhouse Kataklysm has delivered relentless waves of unapologetic sound across the globe. Today, the band unveils a brand-new track titled “The Rabbit Hole”.

With brutal honesty and uncompromising intensity, the song shatters the illusion of control and challenges listeners to awaken, resist, and fight back. It serves as a fierce anthem for the disillusioned. The track is raw, defiant, and unapologetically powerful. It also features Clemens Wijers of Carach Angren, who contributed haunting ambient soundscapes and synth elements that enhance the song’s atmosphere.

Maurizio Iacono shares:
“‘The Rabbit Hole’ is our first standalone single since the classic ‘Iron Will’. As the world spirals out of control and people search for meaning and truth, we felt it was important to ask difficult questions. There is so much noise and distortion today, but you must always trust your gut and stand for what is right instead of what is being force-fed. We turned those thoughts into music. While we continue working on the next record, we wanted to release this heavy hitter. Spread it and enjoy!”

The single was recorded earlier this year at multiple locations, including JFD Studios in Dallas, Texas, Studio City in California, The Cabin in Orlando, Florida, and Silver Black Studio in Laval, Quebec, Canada. The track was produced, mixed, and mastered by J-F Dagenais, the band’s own guitarist and longtime producer.
