Legendary American heavy metal band “W.A.S.P.” is set to return to Belgrade on December 7th, bringing their highly anticipated “1984 to Headless” tour to Hangar Luka Beograd. Organized by Hengtajm agency, the concert promises a powerful retrospective of the band’s early career, focusing on material from their first four iconic albums.
This special show will see the band revisiting the raw energy and controversy that defined their rise in the 1980s, performing songs from their self-titled debut “W.A.S.P.” from 1984 through to “The Headless Children” released in 1989. These releases helped establish the group as one of the most provocative and recognizable acts of the era.
Founded in Los Angeles in 1982 and led by charismatic frontman Blackie Lawless, “W.A.S.P.” quickly gained notoriety for their theatrical live shows and controversial imagery. Their performances often featured shocking stage elements, from raw meat props to pyrotechnics, earning them both criticism and a loyal global fanbase.
Despite backlash from conservative groups during their early years, “W.A.S.P.” emerged as a symbol of artistic freedom within the heavy metal scene. Albums such as “The Last Command” released in 1985 and “Inside the Electric Circus” from 1986 further cemented their international success, while extensive touring alongside acts like “Iron Maiden” and “Slayer” expanded their influence.
The upcoming Belgrade concert follows a well-received previous appearance in Serbia, with fans once again expecting a high-energy performance packed with classic hits and the band’s signature intensity. With a lineup that still includes longtime members alongside Lawless, “W.A.S.P.” continues to deliver the same uncompromising sound that defined their legacy.
Tickets are available from Hangtime ticketing, with early bird tickets costing 4.700 RSD, regular presale tickets for 5.200 RSD, while tickets at the door will cost 6.000 RSD.
