Thrash metal lovers should circle the 25th of November on their calendars as thrash metal legends “Kreator” are coming for the third time to Serbia with “Overkill” as special guests.
“Kreator” are expanding their “Krushers of the world” 2026 tour with a number of fall dates including a show in Belgrade on the 25th of November at “Hangar Luke Beograd” with USA thrash metal pioneers “Overkill” thanks to organisers “Eventnation Pro”.
A legendary band such as “Kreator” needs no special introduction, they are the most influential European thrash metal band that has sold over 2 million albums and are still touring after 40 years. Their latest album “Krushers of the world” was released in January of this year to favorable reviews. After a few albums that were not well received during the nineties with “Outcast” and “Endorama”, “Kreator” essentially reinvented itself with “Violent revolution” setting a style they will follow for a number of years and albums such as “Enemy of god” released in 2005 “Hordes of Chaos” and “Phantom Antichrist” in 2009 and 2012, with frontman Mille Petrozza crediting the addition of lead guitarist Sami Yli-Sirnio for the more melodic influences in those albums.
New Jersey based “Overkill” meanwhile has been active since 1980 with Bobby Blitz on vocals and D.D. Verni on bass remaining as the original members of the band. With 19 studio albums under their belts, the latest “Scorched” released in 2023 to favorable reviews from both critics and the public, their special east coast blend of thrash and speed metal set them apart from other thrash metal bands, becoming a must see band in the early 80’s in New York and New Jersey clubs.
