Power metal icon Timo Tolkki is back. The legendary Finnish guitarist, songwriter, and visionary behind the classic Stratovarius sound will embark on a European Tour in October 2026, with a concert in Belgrade on the 25th of October at “klub Fest” in Zemun.
In October 2026, Timo Tolkki returns to the European stage with a series of special concerts dedicated to the music that made him one of the genre’s most important figures. The tour is an explosive journey through the classic “Stratovarius” catalog, bringing beloved anthems back to life with a fresh lineup of exceptional musicians.
As the band’s principal composer and guitarist for nearly two decades, Tolkki helped establish the melodic, neoclassical, and symphonic approach that became the signature sound of European power metal. During his years with “Stratovarius”, the band achieved worldwide success, earned multiple Gold records in Finland, and won the prestigious Emma Award, Finland’s equivalent of the Grammy.
The tour is entirely dedicated to the legendary “Stratovarius” repertoire that Tolkki wrote and helped create. Audiences can look forward to powerful performances of iconic songs including: “Hunting High and Low”, “Black Diamond”, “Eagleheart”, “Paradise”, “Visions”, “Father Time”, “Forever” and many more fan favorites
Rather than simply revisiting the past, these concerts breathe new life into timeless compositions alongside the very musician who originally wrote many of them.
Timo Tolkki is widely regarded as one of the architects of modern power metal. Joining “Stratovarius” in 1984 at just 17 years old, he transformed the Finnish band into an international phenomenon through landmark albums such as “Episode” from 1996, “Visions” released in 1997, “Destiny” and “Infinite” from 2000.
His songwriting combined virtuosic guitar work, soaring melodies, orchestral arrangements, and progressive influences, inspiring countless bands including “Sonata Arctica”, “Rhapsody of Fire”, and many others across the European metal scene. Beyond “Stratovarius”, Tolkki has continued his creative journey with projects including “Revolution Renaissance”, “Symfonia”, and “Avalon”, further cementing his legacy as one of Finland’s most celebrated metal composers.
