Finnish heavy rock band I.F.A released the third single “Pedon kieli” from their forthcoming second studio album “Tiimalasi” which is set to be released on August 8th 2025 via Inverse Records. A music video has also been made for the track, which can be viewed here:
The band comments:
“The lyrics of the song are based on Janne Tulonen’s novel of the same name, which will be published on the same day. The song aims to follow the novel’s reflective story of growth, with its successes and disappointments, tailwinds and setbacks, and the conflict between good and evil in each of us.
The novel’s main setting is I.F.A.’s home town of Vihti, which gave the band the opportunity to explore and present a familiar neighborhood also through the music video filmed for the song. The melody was pleasing with its wistful but hopeful tone. The long melody notes at the beginning reflect the lingering, tormenting atmosphere of eternity that we, the tormented, feel inside until the end of our lives. The melody also provided an excellent platform for playing a melodic guitar solo, which works nicely with the beautiful filming environment of the song’s music video.”
