Belgrade’s Zappa Barka will feature the legendary Hungarian avant-garde experimental outfit Thy Catafalque with The Father Of Serpents opening the show on the 22nd of November.

Thy catafalque started as a two man project in 1998. experimenting with black metal music with their debut album in 1999. but it wasn’t until mid to late 2000’s that the band gathered international attention with Tűnő Idő Tárlat and Róka Hasa Rádió” releases. Since 2011 Thy Catafalque is a solo project of Tamas Katai who draws inspiration from Hungarian folklore both visually and musically as well as dark progressive arrangements and avant-garde synth work. Live performances from the band are quite rare requiring a large ensemble of guest musicians with Katai himself playing the bass guitar on occasions. Since 2011 Katai has been quite productive, releasing 8 studio albums, 2 compilations and a live album in 2022.

Local support are Belgrade based doom metal pioneers The Father Of Serpents, with three studio albums behind them, the latest “Last embrace lasts forever” album was released last year.

Tickets are on sale for 2.500 dinars and can be bought online at:
