Klub Fest in Zemun will host Dutch death metal pioneers Pestilence on the 23rd of July, thanks to Hellhammer promotion and Marena promotion, during their Entering the portals tours.
Pestilence is one of the first European death metal bands that stuck out during the late 80’s with their “Mallevs Maleficarvm” and “Sonsvming impulse” albums releasing back-to-back, but it wasn’t until the early nineties when they truly broke from the mold of early death metal with their 3rd and 4th records, Testimony of the ancients and Spheres, where they venture into more progressive and technical territory.
While their later releases “Resurrection macabre”, “Doctirene”, “Obsideo”, “Hadeon”, “Exitivm” and their latest album “Levels of perception” (consisting of newly recorded old material, rather than new songs) didn’t really reach the heights of their old records, Pestilence are still a formidable band when playing live, bringing aggression and technical precision which made them famous.
Supporting Pestilence are Attitudes of Human extincion from Croatia, after their successful show during on Hellhammer open air festival in 2025.
