German power metal pioneers Grave Digger are celebrating their 30th anniversary of their legendary “Tunes of war” album with a small tour including a show in Belgrade on the 24th of April at Dorćol platz, courtesy of Devotion booking.
After experimenting in the 90’s with some speed metal influenced “The Reaper” and the darker approach of “Heart of Darkness” in 1993 and 1995, after only a year Grave Digger embraced the power metal heritage of Germany with a sort of medieval trilogy of albums starting with “Tunes of war”, continuing with “Knights of the Cross”, and ending with “Excalibur” in 1999. Melodies and lyrics of “Tunes of war” explore Scottish history, each song serving as sort of an episode, starting from Scotland united taking place in the XI century and ending with Culloden Muir which takes places in 1746.
Supporting Grave digger are The Fifth Rider and another German power metal legends Crystallion.
