Black metal legends “Mayhem” are headlining a show in Belgrade on the 3rd of October at with “Marduk” opening the show at “Zappa Barka” thanks to “Hengtajm agency”.

As part of the “Death Over Europe Part II” tour, fans can expect an unforgettable night of raw aggression, occult atmosphere, and genre-defining anthems performed by two bands that helped shape the history of extreme metal.

Mayhem are widely regarded as one of the most influential bands in the history of extreme metal and one of the principal architects of the second wave of Norwegian black metal. Their groundbreaking releases “Deathcrush” (1987) and the legendary “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas” (1994) laid the foundation for an entire genre and continue to inspire countless bands around the world.

Over the following decades, Mayhem consistently reinvented themselves with ambitious and challenging albums such as “Grand Declaration of War” (2000), “Ordo Ad Chao” (2007)—which won the Norwegian Grammy (Spellemannprisen) for Best Metal Album—”Esoteric Warfare” (2014), and “Daemon” (2019). Rather than relying solely on their legendary status, the band has continued to push the boundaries of black metal while maintaining their unmistakable identity.

Despite the tragedies and controversies surrounding their early years, Mayhem evolved into one of the most respected institutions in extreme music. More than forty years after their formation, they remain a dominant force on the international metal scene, having performed nearly 1,000 concerts in over 60 countries while celebrating their 40th anniversary with an extensive world tour.

The current lineup consists of “Necrobutcher” on bass, “Hellhammer” on drums, Atilla Csihar of vocals, “Teloch” and “Ghoul” on guitars.

Opening the evening will be Marduk, one of the undisputed giants of black metal. While firmly rooted in relentless black metal, the Swedish veterans frequently inject elements of death metal into their sound and occasionally introduce melodic passages before returning to their trademark sonic assault. Their 1999 classic “Panzer Division Marduk” remains one of the fastest and most uncompromising albums ever released in the genre.

Formed in 1990 in Norrköping, Sweden, the band took its name from the ancient Babylonian deity Marduk. Guitarist Morgan “Evil” Steinmeyer Håkansson, the band’s founder and driving force, famously set out with one simple mission: to create the most blasphemous band imaginable. More than three decades later, Marduk have largely fulfilled that vision while establishing themselves among the most respected names in extreme metal.

Throughout their prolific career, Marduk have released 15 studio albums, including fan favorites such as “Heaven Shall Burn… When We Are Gathered”, “Nightwing”, “Panzer Division Marduk”, “Plague Angel”, “Rom 5:12”, and “Memento Mori”. Their uncompromising live performances have earned them a reputation as one of the most intense acts in black metal.

Alongside Morgan, the band’s current lineup features vocalist “Mortuus” (Daniel Rostén) also known for the acclaimed black metal project “Funeral Mist” and drummer “Bloodhammer”.

Tickets are available online through Hengtajm ticketing system and are available for 4.300 RSD for early bird tickets, while regular tickets will cost 4.900 RSD, tickets at the door will cost 5.500 RSD. Physical tickets will be available at “Katakombe bar” and “Zappa bar”
